EU funding available for different sub-areas in the cybersecurity sector under Digital Europe programme

The European Commission's Digital Europe funding programme has announced new funding calls in the cybersecurity sector. The themes of the calls include for example the development of skills and the promotion of artificial intelligence, quantum cryptography and cyber resilience regulation.

New calls for funding in the cybersecurity sector have been announced under the Digital Europe funding programme.

The themes of the new calls include for example:

  • Specialised education programmes in key capacity areas
  • Advanced Digital Skills Analysis
  • Cybersecurity Skills Academy
  • Novel applications of AI and other enabling technologies for security operation centres
  • Deployment of Post Quantum Cryptography in systems in industrial sectors
  • Tools for compliance with CRA requirements and obligations
  • Standardisation and awareness of the European transition to post-quantum cryptography
  • Strengthen Cybersecurity capacities of European SMEs in line with CRA requirements and obligations
  • Roadmap for the transition of European public administrations to a post-quantum cryptography era
  • Network of European Digital Innovation Hubs – Associated Countries
     

The opening and closing dates of the calls vary, so it is important to check these dates carefully. The majority of the new calls will close in mid-March or early April 2024.

The aim of the many calls is to bring together an international, multidisciplinary consortium of organisations with a common project idea and with complementary and supporting expertise.
