Guest writer: Online scams concern us all

The telephone hotline operated by the Huijarit kuriin (“Stop the Scammers”) project receives calls from both seniors and young people. While seniors have formed the majority of audiences at the project’s training events, its webinars have seen younger attendees. When combating online scams, the best approach is to focus on digital skills rather than age groups or the differences between younger and older internet users.
