NCSC-FI will continue its operations as before in the new Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom

The Finnish Communications Regulatory Authority (FICORA), Transport Safety Agency (Trafi), and certain official functions of the Transport Agency will merge into Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom on 1 January 2019. The National Cyber Security Centre (NCSC-FI) has been a part of FICORA since 2014.

The Finnish Transport and Communications Agency Traficom starts its operations on 1 January 2019. The new Agency is a merger of the Finnish Transport Safety Agency, Trafi; Communications Regulatory Authority, FICORA; and certain functions of the Transport Agency. Traficom is an authority serving people and businesses in licence, registration and approval matters related to transport and communications. The Agency promotes the transport system and traffic safety and boosts digitalisation. Traficom supports sustainable development and ensures that everyone in Finland has access to high-quality, secure and reasonably priced communications connections and services. There is around 900 employees working at the Agency at 15 locations in Finland. The head office is in Helsinki.
