October continued the cloudy and chilly autumn season in the field of cybersecurity, although the situation calmed slightly compared with September.
During the month, several significant data breaches and vulnerabilities were reported internationally. These included, among others, the breaches affecting the security and technology company F5 and the software company Red Hat.
The critical vulnerabilities in Cisco’s ASA and FTD products also caused concern and required action in mid-October. We published a vulnerability advisory on the issue.
In Finland, reports related to Microsoft 365 account breaches remained higher than usual in October.
